About this site

What happens when you send a request, and how the prices are worked out.

What this site does

Solar Panels Mayo is a price guide for homes in Co. Mayo. It publishes what solar panels cost in Ireland, the SEAI grant rules and what panels make on a Mayo roof, and passes requests to one local SEAI-registered installer who covers your area.

Who gets your request

One local SEAI-registered installer who covers your area. Your details aren't sent to a list of companies. The installer rings you, asks about the house, usually looks at the roof, and gives you a price. Nothing is agreed until you accept it.

What the quote form does

It asks which way your roof faces, what kind of house it is, and whether you want panels, a battery or both, then your phone number and, if you like, your name, your area and a short message. Your details go to the installer so they can price the job.

The photos

The photos show solar panels on house roofs, as examples. None of them is work by the installer we pass requests to.

How we keep the figures right

Prices are what Irish homes pay for panels fitted by SEAI-registered companies, the grant figures are SEAI's own, and what panels make comes from the EU's PVGIS satellite record. If we can't stand over a figure, it doesn't go on the site.
